The 2017 Peninsula Oilers are preparing for the upcoming Alaska Baseball League season and the Oilers Baseball Club is in need of additional families to serve as host families for the incoming players.
The Oilers season runs through August 5th with the players in Alaska for about two months. Nearly half of the game schedule is on the road and host parents receive assistance from the Oilers.
Oilers release….
Join the Oilers family and host a player for the summer! You provide the room and the Oilers will do the rest. You will receive a family pass to the ballpark and a small stipend to help with meals. The Oilers provide local transportation and meals when the team travels. A private bedroom and access to a bathroom and washer and dryer are required. It’s a great way to spend quality family time together and share Alaska with a visiting athlete! The team arrives June 3rd and the season goes through August 5th.
Call the Oilers office at 283-7133 or contact Nicole, our housing coordinator, at (907)598-9488.
Opening Night for the Peninsula Oilers is Friday, June 9th at Coral Seymour Memorial Park. Follow the Oilers all season on ESPN 1140AM and www.radiokenai.com
