Oilers Close Road Trip With 2-1 Loss To Miners

The Peninsula Oilers, 4-4 in the Alaska Baseball League, closed their first road trip with a 2-1 loss to the Mat-Su Miners in Palmer on Thursday.

The Oilers finish 2-3 on the road.

The Oilers scored a lone run in the third inning and allowed only one run on 12 hits to the Miners through the first eight innings.  The Miners plate the game-winner in the bottom of the ninth for the 2-1 victory.

The Peninsula Oilers stand at 4-4 in the ABL with an off-day on Friday.

 

Saturday the Oilers open a three-game home series with the Everett Washington Merchants.

Saturday is Alaska USA Night–Free Admission w/ 7:00 p.m. game time.

Sunday is Hanson’s Roofing Day–Free Admission w/ 2 p.m. game time
