Oilers Drop 10-2 ABL Game To Pilots

An eight-run, sixth inning for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots pushed the Pilots past the Peninsula Oilers 10-2 in Alaska Baseball League play on Friday night at Mulcahy Park in Anchorage.

The Oilers opened with a run on an RBI single by Cole Jordan.  Connor Kershaw threw five scoreless innings before the Pilots plated eight runs on four hits in the sixth inning.

A lone run for the Oilers on a RBI triple by Dalton Bowling closed the scoring at 10-2 Pilots.  The Oilers used position players to pitch from the sixth inning on as Kenai’s pitching staff has been stretched in the opening road swing which is currently 11 games in 11 days and continues through the weekend with games on Saturday at Miners, Sunday at Bucs and Monday at Pilots.

The Oilers home opener is scheduled for Wednesday, June 22nd at Coral Seymour Memorial Park with a five-game series against the Anchorage Glacier Pilots.
