Oilers Drop Doubleheader to Miners: Monday Night Game Set For 7:00 p.m.

The Peninsula Oilers dropped a pair of seven inning contests on Sunday at Coral Seymour Memorial Park; falling 11-1 and 5-1 to the Mat-Su Mainers in Alaska Baseball League doubleheader action.  The miners improve to 5-1 in the ABL, the Oilers fall to 1-3 in ABL play (all loses to the Miners).

 

Game One:  Miners 11 – Oilers 1

The Oilers managed only a single run in the first game of Sunday’s doubleheader, falling 11-1 to the Miners.  The Oilers collected seven hits, but only on run, while the Miners scored 11 runs on 15 hits.

 

Game Two:  Miners 5 – Oilers 1

The Oilers bats were again quiet in game two with only four hits and a lone run scored.

 

The Oilers and Miners face-off on Monday in a 7:00 p.m. ABL contest at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.
