The Anchorage Bucs won the rubber-game of the five-game homestand for the Peninsula Oilers 13-6 on Monday closing-out the home portion of the Oilers regular season.
Oilers 6 – Bucs 13
The Oilers and Bucs were plagued early with errors, five in the first 1 1/2 innings, and both teams produced three runs through two innings. The Bucs blew open the game with five runs in the seventh inning and added five runs in the ninth inning. The Bucs recorded 13 runs on 14 hits; the Oilers totaled six runs on 12 hits. The Bucs take the series 3 games to 2.
The Oilers will play a doubleheader on Friday against Mat-Su in Palmer at Hermann Brothers Field. Game times scheduled for 4 and 6 p.m.
The regular season is scheduled to end on Saturday with the Oilers playing the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks in Chugiak.
