The Peninsula Oilers scored six runs in the top of the 14th inning on Wednesday night at Mulcahy Park to knock-off the Anchorage Bucs 9-3.

Tied at 3-3 into the 14th inning, the Oilers score six runs on five hits and three Buc’s errors.  The scoring began after a lead-off single for the Oilers’ Alex Seifert initiated an ejection of the Bucs head coach Mike Grohavic.  Grohavic, on his way off the field, started a confrontation with Oilers coach Kevin Griffin; which lead to contact between the coaches and Grohavic throwing a punch, which emptied the benches.  Order was restored and the Oilers mounted a six-run, attack.  Final score: Oilers 9 – Bucs 3.

The Oilers face the Anchorage Glacier Pilots on Thursday at Mulcahy Park.

Game time set for 7:00 p.m.
