Dylan Ditzenberger knocked a three-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning to push the Oilers past the Anchorage Bucs 5-4 in Alaska Baseball League action on Saturday at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.
The Oilers took an early 1-0 lead over the Bucs on a second-inning Ben Grunberg RBI before allowing three runs on no hits to the Bucs in the 4th inning.
Alec Weigel closed-out the final five innings on the mound for the Oilers recording six strikeouts and allowing one run. The Bucs run was the first allowed by Weigel this season. Garret Pennington was 3 for 4 with an RBI and two runs scored for the game.
The Oilers even the series with the Bucs at 1-1. Game three is scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m.
