John Olmstead drove in five runs with three hits including a three-run, home run to push the Peninsula Oilers to a 10-2 lead over the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks; the Oilers hold-off a late Chinook rally for the 10-9 victory. The Oilers have taken three-straight from the Chinooks in the current homestand at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.

The Peninsula Oilers built a 10-2 lead through five innings and looked enroute to a possible second, run-rule game against the Chinooks. Chugiak scored three runs in the sixth, two in the seventh and two in the eighth to close to within a run.
The Oilers posted 10 runs on 14 hits and left 11 runners on base as the Peninsula team has scored 28 runs in their past three games at Oilers Park.
Garrett Pennington went 3 for 3 at the plate and scored twice; Bryce Marsh added a pair of RBI with a base hit.
The Oilers have won three-straight from the Chinooks and have drawn to within 1 1/2 games of the Anchorage Bucs for a playoff spot in the ABL playoffs.
