Oilers Hold-off Panners 3-1 In ABL Action

The Peninsula Oilers recorded their second-straight victory over the Alaska Goldpanners, with a 3-1 win on Saturday in Alaska Baseball League action.

The Oilers opened with a single run in the first and a pair of runs in the second inning for a 3-0 lead; then held-off a series of charges by the Panners.

Conner Dotson picked up the victory on the mound allowing no runs in six innings and striking out seven batters.  Paul Lujan recorded the save.  Jordan Washam lead the offense with two hits and two RBI; Jimmy Galusky also had a two-hit game.

The Oilers improve to 2-0 in the ABL’s American Division.

 

Sunday is Elks Flag Day at Coral Seymour Memorial Ballpark.  Free Admission and a 2:00 p.m. game time.
