On Saturday, May 31, high winds lifted the roof off of the Oilers Field grandstand and flipped it backwards onto the concession stand.
Oilers board member Dan Gensel said they are looking for manpower to help with repairs.
Gensel: “If you can donate some time and energy to helping the Peninsula Oilers to get the field ready for Sunday’s opener, call James Clark, the general manager of the Peninsula Oilers at 398-2528 or leave a message at the Oilers office at 283-7133.”
Gensel said a wide variety of man power is needed.
