The Peninsula Oilers left nine runners on base and scored all three runs off home runs in a 8-3 loss to the Anchorage Bucs at Mulcahy Park in Anchorage on Tuesday in ABL action.
Anchorage Bucs 8 – Oilers 3
The Oilers opened the scoring with a solo home run by Owen Christy in the third inning and the Bucs took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the third. The Bucs added three runs in the fourth on just two hits and added a pair of sixth-inning runs. The Peninsula Oilers plated two runs on a two-run home run by Henry Noviki. Bucs pitchers combined for 18 strikeouts.
The Oilers travel to Chugiak-Eagle River to play the Chinooks on Wednesday, June 16th scheduled for a 7 p.m. first pitch.
