The final weekend of the Alaska Baseball League 2022 season has arrived with the ABL post-season set to begin August 1st.
The Peninsula Oilers will play a doubleheader on Friday against Mat-Su in Palmer at Hermann Brothers Field. Game times scheduled for 4 and 6 p.m.
The regular season is scheduled to end on Saturday with the Oilers playing the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks in Chugiak with a 6 p.m. scheduled first pitch.
The Oilers currently stand in fourth place in the Alaska Baseball League and will play the #1 seed in the first round of the Top of the World Series, the ABL’s culminating event schedule to begin August 1st. The Anchorage Glacier Pilots, going into the weekend hold the #1 seed with two games remaining in the regular season.
