Oilers Open Road Series Thursday Against Anchorage Bucs

The Peninsula Oilers baseball team travels to Anchorage and Chugiak-Eagle River for a seven game, five day road series in the Alaska Baseball League; the series opens at Mulcahy Park in Anchorage with a contest against the Anchorage Bucs.

Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

The Oilers currently stand at 1-5 in the ABL dropping five games to the Mat-Su Miners.  Players continue to arrive and replacement players are filling in the lineup; suggesting a stronger showing in league play for the Oilers, beginning with the first road trip of the season.

Friday, June 16: Oilers vs Bucs @ Mulcahy Park   Doubleheader   6:00 p.m.

Saturday, June 17: Oilers vs Bucs @ Mulcahy Park  7:00 p.m.

Sunday, June 18: Oilers vs Chinooks @ Chugiak  5:00 p.m.

Monday, June 19: Oilers vs Chinooks @ Chugiak  Doubleheader  5:00 p.m.

2nd Round: Cory Abbott, 2015 starting pitcher, selected by Chicago Cubs

5th Round: Ryan Lillie, 2016 relieve pitcher, selected by Miami Marlins

27th Round: Billy Oxford, 2016 pitcher, selected by New York Mets

Current Oilers Kip Moore, catcher, signed free agent contract with Philadelphia Phillies
