The Peninsula Oilers opened a five game in four days road trip with a victory on Monday, downing the Anchorage Bucs 3-1 at Mulcahy Park in Anchorage.
Matt Allen pitched six scoreless innings allowing six hits for the win. Sean Michel recorded the save, pitching the ninth and not allowing a run. The Oilers turned three double plays in the contest; as the Bucs recorded 11 hits and the Oilers nine hits.
The Oilers and Bucs are scheduled for a doubleheader on Tuesday at Mulcahy Park. Both games will be seven innings, per ABL rules.
Game one scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. start.
