Oilers Pitchers Shut-Out Chinooks 6-0

Oilers starting pitcher Liam Rocha pitched seven no-hit innings, striking out 12 batters and was in complete control until ejected from the game.  Reliever Dylan Crowley closed with two shut out innings in a 6-0 Oilers victory over the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks.

The Oilers, behind an outstanding effort on the mound, found some much-needed offense with a four-run, second inning and a two-run, sixth inning for the 6-0 victory.  Henry Novicki lead the Oilers bats with a 2 for 2 and three RBI night.  The Oilers generated 10 hits against the Chinooks.

 

The Oilers continue the five-game series against the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks on Wednesday with a scheduled 6 p.m. game.
