The Peninsula Oilers manufactured the game-winning run in the eighth inning of a tied 3-3 game for a 4-3 Alaska Baseball League victory over the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks.

Tied at 3-3 in the eighth inning, the Peninsula Oilers generated a single run with pinch-hitter Casey Burnham reaching first hit by pitch, then stealing second. Jerry Nix scored Burnham with an RBI single. Reliever Drake Frize earned the save retiring the Chinooks in order in the ninth inning. James Shimashina, Shun Sakianno and Jerry Nix each collected two hits. Five Oilers pitchers combined for a five-hitter, not allowing a hit in the final three innings. Mose Hayes receives the win pitching the eighth inning.
The Oilers continue their home stand against the Chinooks on Sunday afternoon with a scheduled 2 p.m. first pitch.
