The Peninsula Oilers rallied in the ninth with Bennett Oliver driving-in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth with two outs, scoring James Faulkes from third base with a drive to left-center field.
The Peninsula Oilers relief pitchers held the Chinooks in check for the final four innings, while the bats heated-up in the eighth and ninth for the Oilers.
The Oilers trailed 4-2 before scoring a pair of runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to tie the game at 4-4. Closer Paul Lujan recorded two strikeouts in the ninth and the Oilers gathered their bats for the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the Oilers record nine hits including a triple by Brian Ruhm and a double for Faulkes. The Oilers pitchers combined to allow four runs on seven hits.
The Oilers improve to 9-7 in the ABL with their third straight victory.
The Oilers face the Chinooks on Monday to close the three-game home stand. Game time set for 7:00 p.m.
