The Peninsula Oilers recorded their first home victory defeating the Anchorage Glacier Pilots 4-3 on Saturday at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.

The Oilers opened the scoring in the second inning with a lead-off single by James Shimashita and scoring Shimashita on an error for a 1-0 lead. The Pilots scored single runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. The Oilers added a run in the fourth inning on a Shimashita single and again scored an unearned run on a Pilots error. Two runs in the fifth innings for the Oilers included Shunsuke Sakaino scoring on an RBI double by Noah Henning and Henning scoring on a Dalton Bowling sacrifice fly.
Carson Seeman earned the win with 5 2/3 innings allowing three runs, two earned, and eight hits.
Sunday’s ABL game between the Oilers and Pilots, game five of the five game series, is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Coral Seymour Memorial Park. The Oilers will have three off-days following Sunday’s matinee.
