The Peninsula Oilers extended their season-longest win streak to three-straight on Sunday with an 11-0 shutout of the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.

A five-run, first inning and a strong starting performance on the mound pushed the Oilers past the Chinooks 11-0 in seven innings in Alaska Baseball League action on Sunday.
The Oilers scored five runs on two hits and two Chinook errors for an early 5-0 lead. Ethan Firestone scored a third inning run on an RBI single by Jake Brown. In the sixth inning, Jacob Shaver hit a two-run home run scoring Shunsuke Sakaino; Casey Burnham drove in Noah Hennings and Jake Brown drove-in Burnham and Ethan Firestone.
The game ended on a 5-4-3 double play turned by the Oilers defense; a ten-run rule contest. Starter Carson Seeman pitched seven, scoreless innings allowing three hits.
The Oilers improve to 9-15 in the ABL.
The Oilers close their homestand against the Chinooks on Monday with a scheduled 6 p.m. first pitch.
The Oilers return to the road On Wednesday, July 13th against the Anchorage Bucs at Mulcahy Stadium. The final homestand for the Oilers regular season begins July 21st vs the Bucs.
