Back-to-back-to-back (three) doubles in the bottom of the seventh inning propelled the Peninsula Oilers past the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks 14-4 in a 10-run rule Alaska Baseball league contest on Friday night at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.
The Oilers scored five runs in the seventh inning, following an eight-run, sixth inning to defeat the Chinooks 14-4. The Oilers and Chinooks were tied at 1-1 into the sixth inning when Chugiak scored a pair of runs for a 3-1 lead. Starter Conner Kershaw pitched 5.1 innings and allowed three runs (two earned) for a no-decision. Mason Kokodynski closed for 1.2 innings allowing a single run. Graiden West, Shun Sakaino, Jake Brown and Carson Seeman each had a double and Sakaino went 3 for 5 with four RBI. West, Seeman and James Shimashita each recorded two RBI and two runs scored.
The Oilers continue their home stand against the Chinooks with a Free Admission Saturday night game sponsored by FNBA. Game time scheduled for 6 p.m.
