The deceased individual was identified as Stephanie Henson, age 31 of Kenai. Her next of kin have been notified.
KPD is continuing to investigate the case.
Update 11/17/2022 11:27 a.m.
According to an updated press release from the Kenai Police Department, On November 17, 2022, Kevin Lee Park, age 28 of Kenai, was arrested and remanded to Wildwood Pre-Trial Facility for Murder 1, Tampering with Physical Evidence 1 and Fail to Stop at Direction of Peace Officer 1.
KPD is still working to identify the deceased woman.

The Kenai Police Department received a report of a shooting on California Avenue in Kenai at approximately 3:58 a.m. Thursday morning.
According to a press release from Kenai Police Chief Dave Ross, witnesses reported a vehicle leaving the scene. As officers responded they located a matching vehicle leaving the area that was driving with no lights on. Officers attempted to traffic stop that vehicle which led to a pursuit when the vehicle failed to stop.
The Kenai Police Department was assisted in that pursuit by the Alaska State Troopers and the Soldotna Police Department. The suspect was eventually stopped and has been taken into custody.
On California Avenue officers located the deceased female victim.
The investigation is ongoing at this time with investigators with KPD and the Alaska Bureau of Investigations are on the scene.
As of Thursday morning, KPD was not ready to release the names of those involved.
