A spokesman for the Alaska Division of Forestry says the agency is assessing what it’s missing after a man broke into two fenced state parking lots Sunday in Fairbanks and drove off with a state truck and trailer.

Tim Mowry says the man stole a Division of Parks truck and trailer but that items may also be missing from the Forestry Division.

Troopers arrested 34-year-old Sean Coursey in the incident.

Spokeswoman Megan Peters says Coursey was taken into custody after crashing the truck and trailer, which carried earth-moving equipment, at Mile 1386 Alaska Highway.

The crash site is 36 miles east of Delta Junction and 134 road miles from Fairbanks.

Fire destroyed the truck. Troopers say Coursey was on fire when he exited the truck.

He was treated and is jailed at the Fairbanks Correctional Center.
