In less than a week Soldotna will be painted green for an annual festival spearheaded by Mike Sweeney…
Sweeney: “It’s our 24th annual St. Paddy’s Day Parade and it’s going to be March 17th at 4:30 between Bailey’s and the ‘Y’ and it’s about a 1/2 hour parade but it keeps on growing every year and this year I’m encouraging a lot of businesses and non-profits to get involved in the parade and I believe the weather that we’ve had is going to encourage students and families to come out and it should be a very good one this year.”
Sweeney said many local clubs and restaurants will be serving St. Paddy’s theme dinners on Tuesday evening.
