A pair of peninsula athletes with multiple state championships, multiple school records and distinguish collegiate careers are among the Class of 2023 for the Alaska High School Hall of Fame.
Allie Ostrander, KCHS Class of 2015, and Joshua Gemmell, SoHi Class of 2001, were inducted into the Alaska School Activities Association (ASAA) Alaska High School Hall of Fame on May 7th at a ceremony at the Lakefront Hotel in Anchorage.
Class of 2020 Nikiski’s Lincoln Johnson was also honored with his father Tim Johnson receiving the award for Lincoln; the 2020 ceremony was canceled due to Covid 19 protocols.
The ASAA Board of Directors has established the Alaska High School Hall of Fame to identify and honor in a permanent manner those individuals who have exhibited high ethical standards and integrity while achieving excellence in high school athletics and activities in the State of Alaska, and others who have distinguished themselves by virtue of exemplary contributions to the advancement of high school interscholastic athletics and activities in the state.
The Alaska Hall of Fame consists of: Activity Participants, Activity Sponsors, Administrators, Athletes, Athletic Coaches, Contributors, Lifetime Achievement and Officials.
