Allie Ostrander, KCHS senior, has been named the 2015 female recipient of the “Pride of Alaska Award”.
The 2015 Director’s Award is presented by the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame, with four individuals named for the 2015 Director’s Awards.
Allie Ostrander’s list of accomplishments to Alaska running include:

*3-time 4A State Cross Country Running Champion
*4A State Track & Field Champion: 3200M and 1600M
* State record holder in 3200M and 1600M
Non-High School
*National Championship victory at 2014 Nike Cross Nationals in Portland, Oregon
*Mount Marathon Junior Champion 2014 Overall Champion; Girls Champion 2007-2014

Awards will be presented at the 2015 Alaska Sports Hall of Fame ceremony at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5th at the Anchorage Museum.
The Directors’ Awards are chosen by the Alaska Sports Hall’s board of directors. Hall of Fame inductees are selected by a nine-member committee and a vote by the public. Winners of Directors’ Awards are not Hall of Fame members, although their names appear on plaques that are part of the Hall of Fame display at the Anchorage airport.
