Allie Ostrander, Kenai Central High School distance running champion, competed in the two-mile event at the New Balance High School Nationals in Greensboro, North Carolina over the weekend; posting a time of 10 minutes, 28.78 seconds, good for a fifth place in the 3216 meter event.
Ostrander won the Alaska state championship in the 3200M at the ASAA State 4A Track Championships , setting a new state record of 10:03.66. Ostrander also ran the fourth fastest 3200M in the nation at the Arcadia Invitational Meet in April posting a 10:03.66.
