Allie Ostrander returns to the national championships for cross country running and returns to a familiar and favorable course in Kentucky for the 2017 NCAA Cross Country Championships.

 

University of Louisville will host the championships, Saturday, November 18, at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park located in Louisville, Kentucky. The women’s race will begin at 10:45 a.m. Eastern Time, followed by the men’s race at 11:45 a.m. Eastern Time.

Ostrander, a 2015 graduate of Kenai Central High School and multiple, Alaska state running champion, will compete in the 2017 collegiate running championships following an outstanding fall season running for Boise State University.

 

Ostrander returns to the national finals after missing the cross country season in 2016 due to injury.  In 2015 as a freshman for the Broncos, Ostrander finished second at the national championships on the same course that will host the 2017 event.

 

 

Ostrander qualified for the NCAA Cross Country Championships by finishing second at the West Region Cross Country Championships on the Jefferson Park Course in Seattle, Washington on November 10th.  The Boise State women’s and men’s teams both qualify with at-large berths to the national finals.

 

The 2017 NCAA Cross Country Running Championships will be broadcast through FloSports.
