Law enforcement continues the search for the missing Kenai family with the canine specialized scent team from out of state.

Kenai Police Chief Gus Sandahl said that the search over the weekend did not yield the whereabouts of the family.

Sandahl: “We appreciate people refraining from proactively searching in wooded areas in northwest Kenai, the search is ongoing and so in order for our teams to be more effective including the canines, we’re just asking the people to continue to refrain from searching those wooded areas in northwest Kenai.”

He also said they have been following all credible leads brought to their attention by the public.

Sandahl: “We continue to appreciate information that’s coming in on a daily basis and if you have any information on seeing any of the missing persons whether its Rebecca Adams, Jaraca, Michelle, or Brandon Jividen we want to hear you, in particular from May 25 or after, there’s some evidence we’ve been able to acquire from a local business indicating that Rebecca was driving one of the couple’s vehicles on the morning of May 25. If anyone else has information or maybe even surveillance video footage on that day or after we want to hear from you.”

To report any information the public may contact the Kenai Police at 283-7879.
