Partial Solar Eclipse Thursday

Alaska only sees an eclipse like the one to happen on Thursday about once every four years.

 

Omega Smith with the UAA Planetarium explained the cause of the partial eclipse that will start at abour 11:55 am tomorrow.

 

 

She said the eclipse will not darken the sun enough to look directly at it without proper equipment and urged the public not to look directly at the sun.
