Peninsula Conference Soccer Records Full Slate Of Results

Goals were at a premium at Ed Hollier Field in Kenai on Tuesday as the Kenai Kardinal soccer teams battled the Homer Mariners in Peninsula Conference soccer action.  Nikiski recorded a pair of victories in Seward and the SoHi girls overpowered Voznesenka.

 

Kenai Girls 2 – Homer 1

Lily Coon broke a 1-1 tie late in the second half for a 2-1 victory for the Kenai girls over the Mariners.  Liz Hanson of Kenai opened the scoring, staking Kenai to a 1-0 lead mid-way through the first half; Homer answered with its lone goal before the half for a 1-1 tie going into the intermission.

 

Kenai Boys 1 – Homer 1

Zack Tuttle netted Kenai’s only goal late in the second half to draw the Kardinals even with the Mariners, as Kenai and Homer play to a 1-1 draw in Peninsula Conference soccer.  The Kards and Mariners played a scoreless first half; Homer scored about five minutes into the second half and Kenai evened the match at 1-1 with the Tuttle goal later in the half.  The Kardinal boys stand at 11-1-1 overall and unbeaten in Peninsula Conference play.

 

Nikiski Girls 2 – Seward 1

Jordyn Stock and Emma Wik recorded goals in the Nikiski girls 2-1 Peninsula Conference victory over Seward.  The Bulldog girls improve to 2-5 in conference play.

 

Nikiski Boys 3 – Seward o

The Bulldog boys posted a 3-0 shutout of the Seward Seahawks in Seward.  The Nikiski boys first conference victory comes on goals by Michael Mysing, Tyler Olsen and Luck Broussard, all scored in the second half.

 

Soldotna Girls 11 – Voznesenka 0

Journey Miller’s three goal, hat trick lead the Stars over Voznesenka 11-0 at SoHi in Peninsula Conference play.

Meijan Leaf scored twice for the Stars and single goals were recorded by Katie Delker, Faith Glassmaker, Sierra Kuntz, Kiana Holland, Marina Wilson, and Paulyne Catacutan.
