The Miners, as the designated home team during the exhibition game, scored their lone run in the bottom of the second inning, an RBI single against Oilers starter Erikson Fish to put the Miners up 1-0 after two innings.
The Oilers tallied their run in the top of the fourth on an RBI fielders choice by Evan Berkey.
Oilers relievers Tre Brown, Matt Amrhein, Andrew Lopez, Bret Ricklefs and Justin Jaime combined to throw five scoreless innings in relief of Fish, who threw two innings in the start.

The Oilers and the Anchorage Glacier Pilots face-off at 4 p.m at Mulcahy Stadium on Saturday.
The 2018 Alaska Baseball League Home Run Derby and All-Star Game is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday at Mulcahy Stadium.
