The Peninsula Oilers after completing their 2018 Alaska Baseball League regular season have their match-up for the first round of postseason play.

An Anchorage Bucs loss against the Mat-Su Miners on Sunday, in a battle for the ABL regular season championship, guarantees a best of three game series between the #3 seeded Oilers and the #2 seed Bucs begins Wednesday at Mulcahy Stadium.

The Bucs edged the Oilers in head-to-head victories over the regular season series, six games to five including Bucs wins in four of the last five contests.

The last playoff seed will be determined today in a winner-take-all game between the Anchorage Glacier Pilots and the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks at Lee Jordan Field.

The winner of Monday’s game earns the #4 seed and plays the #1 seeded Miners.
