The Peninsula Oilers ended their six-game losing streak with an emphatic walk-off win in the bottom of the 10th inning against the Anchorage Glacier Pilots on Monday at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.
A Skyler Messinger walk-off single in the first extra-inning game of the season for the Oilers capped off a five-game series against the Pilots.

Pitching combined to throw two scoreless innings in under 20 minutes.
The Oilers got to Pilots starter Matthew Sanchez in the bottom of the third with three runs, highlighted by a Giancarlo Servin two-out, two-run double. Sanchez had not allowed a run in the prior 17 innings.
The Pilots responded with a four spot against Jake Reed in the fifth inning, only one run was earned after multiple Oilers errors fueled Anchorage to a 4-3 lead through five innings.
The Oilers tied the game on a Messinger RBI single in the sixth inning against Sanchez, the final batter faced before being pulled in favor of Pilots closer Hunter Rigbsy. Rigsby entered with bases-loaded and retired the final two Oilers batters on strikeouts.
The Pilots took a 5-4 lead in the top of the eighth inning on an E.J. Andrews RBI double against Oilers reliever Jonathan Carlos, who made his first appearance since June 10.
In the ninth, Rigsby, who had not allowed a run all season, surrendered the tying run on a two-out RBI single by Servin.
The Oilers in their first extra-inning game of the summer turned to reliever Heath Olive who threw a scoreless 10th inning en route to his second win on the mound.
In the bottom of the 10th inning with runners on the corners and one out, Messinger delivered a walk-off single against E.J Andrews securing the first walk-off win for the Oilers this summer and ending a six-game losing streak.
The Oilers improve to 8-16, the loss for the Pilots drops them to 13-10.
Oilers resume play on Wednesday against Mat-Su Miners
The Oilers have an off-day on Tuesday before resuming their 11-game homestand at Coral Seymour Memorial Park on Wednesday, in game one of six against the Mat-Su Miners. The Miners are 4-0 this season against the Oilers.
