Peninsula Oilers Report: Casey Roehl, Oilers Play-by-Play…
“The Peninsula Oilers for the first time this summer took the diamond as a team… in practice. Last night the Oilers held their first practice session of the summer, and it should come as no surprise once again that Oilers second-year head coach Kyle Brown has the youngest roster in the Alaska Baseball League on paper. (But) The second-year head coach doesn’t believe that should be a detriment to this year’s team, in fact, he believes that this year’s program should be one of the more exciting he’s ever coached.
‘I’m really excited about this team, I think I’ve got a very talented team, we’re going to do some damage once everyone gets here and we get in the flow, you know what you should expect is quality pitching and quality hitting.’
The Oilers open up their year against the Anchorage Bucs on June 6th. With this Oilers update, I’m Casey Roehl.”
