The Peninsula Oilers scored six, unanswered runs against the Mat-Su Miners, en-route to a 6-5 win on Sunday at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.
The Oilers, (16-14), book-ended their five game series with the Miners with a ninth-inning, walk-off run, securing their second win against Mat-Su, after the Miners won the three middle games of the series. The Miners Alaska Baseball League leading record stands at 19-11; the Oilers are second in the ABL with a 16-14 record.

The Oilers rallied behind six unanswered runs to defeat the Mat-Su Miners on the power of a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth.
The Miners jumped out to an early 3-0 lead against Oilers starter Christian Winston in the top of the first inning.
Winston allowed a pair of runs in the second, his night concluded after 2.1 innings.
The Oilers scored three runs in the bottom of the second inning, fueled by a Grant Wood two-run double. The Miners held a 5-3 lead after the second.
The Oilers tied the game in the sixth inning, a two-run throwing error by Miners reliever Malachi Emond scored Ryan Novis and Paul Kunst.
Oilers relievers Erikson Fish, Matt Amrhein, Noah Owen and Calvin Farris threw a combined 7.1 innings of scoreless relief.
Berkey led off the ninth with a walk, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt, and scored the winning run on a Chad Bible RBI single, securing the Oilers first walk-off win of the season.
The Oilers Begin A 10-Game Road Trip Wednesday
The Oilers lead-off a 10-game road-trip (spanning over 10 days) on Wednesday, July 11 against the Anchorage Glacier Pilots at 5 p.m. at Mulcahy Stadium, the first game of a doubleheader. Wednesday’s game one is a make- up of a rained-out game from June 11.
