Each week throughout the high school sports 2023-24 competitive seasons, KSRM/ESPN selects a Peninsula Sports Athlete of the Week from each of the central peninsula’s three public high schools.
For the week of April 16th:
- For the Kenai Kardinals is soccer player Brynnen Hanson
- Hanson scored a 3 Goal Hat Trick vs Nikiski on April 12th
- For the Nikiski Bulldogs is soccer player Emma Weeks
- Weeks is a hard-working goalie who works hard for every save. Weeks has been in the net every minute of every game since her freshman year.
- For the Soldotna Stars is soccer player Brody Linton
- Linton scored a goal and played well in the midfield to control much of the game.
