Each week throughout the high school sports 2023-24 competitive seasons, KSRM/ESPN selects a Peninsula Sports Athlete of the Week from each of the central peninsula’s three public high schools.

- Representing the Kenai Kardinals is cross country skier Daniel Steffensen
- Steffensen competed in the Kachemak Region earing 1st place at 140 pounds and Kachemak Region Outstanding Wrestler.
- Representing the Kenai Kardinals is cross country skier Daniel Steffensen
- Leading the pack for the Nikiski Bulldogs is wrestler Truit McCaughey
- McCaughey won a region title at 215 and we are looking forward to him competing at state this week.
- Selected for the Soldotna Stars is wrestler Meg Roberts
- Roberts took first place at the Northern Lights Region Championships, and beat the number 2 ranked wrestler in the state for the championship.
