Each week throughout the high school sports 2024-25 competitive seasons, KSRM/ESPN selects a Peninsula Sports Athlete of the Week from each of the central peninsula’s three public high schools.
For the week of January 13th:
- Kenai Kardinals Athlete of the Week is hockey player Logan Mese.
- Logan had 4 goals (Hat Trick +) vs South Anchorage on Saturday, January 11th.
- Nikiski Bulldogs Athlete of the Week is basketball player Abby White.
- Abby was 3-7 from the 3-point line and shot 50% from the field against Kenai. She was the high scorer with 14 of Nikiski’s 29 points.
- Soldotna Stars Athlete of the Week is hockey player Marshall DeRaeve.
- Marshall led the charge on Senior Night for the Stars and has been a great leader and teammate this hockey season.
Congratulations to all Peninsula Sports Athletes of the Week; each recipient will receive a 6-inch combo meal courtesy of Subway of the Kenai Peninsula.
