Each week throughout the high school sports 2023-24 competitive seasons, KSRM/ESPN selects a Peninsula Sports Athlete of the Week from each of the central peninsula’s three public high schools.
For the week of March 19th:
- For the Kenai Kardinals is basketball player Miles Metteer
- Metteer was a KCHS Basketball Region All-Conference Team member.
- For the Nikiski Bulldogs submitted no Athletes for this week.
- For the Soldotna Stars is cheerleader Sonia Montegue
- Montegue was selected to the Region 3 1st Team All-Conference and leads our cheer team to the state competition Tuesday, March 19th.
Congratulations to all Peninsula Sports Athletes of the Week each recipient will receive a 6-inch combo meal courtesy of Subway of the Kenai Peninsula.
