Each week throughout the high school sports 2024-25 competitive seasons, KSRM/ESPN selects a Peninsula Sports Athlete of the Week from each of the central peninsula’s three public high schools.
For the week of November 19th:
- Kenai Kardinals Athlete of the Week is volleyball player Brynnen Hanson.
- Brynnen was named part of the All-Tournament Team at the 2024 3A State Tournament.
- Nikiski Bulldogs Athlete of the Week is volleyball player Abby White.
- Abby ended her season with 22 digs, helping her team to a win over the Kenai Kardinals and winning a state title for the first time since 2018.
- Soldotna Stars Athlete of the Week is wrestler Titus Watts.
- Titus dominated the 125lb division while claiming the title at the Lancer Smith Memorial Tournament.
Congratulations to all Peninsula Sports Athletes of the Week; each recipient will receive a 6-inch combo meal courtesy of Subway of the Kenai Peninsula.
