Each week throughout the high school sports 2023-24 competitive seasons, KSRM/ESPN selects a Peninsula Sports Athlete of the Week from each of the central peninsula’s three public high schools.
For the week ending October 17th:

- Representing the Kenai Kardinals is Volleyball player Emma Beck
- Back earned Most Valuable Offensive Player-Emma Beck and All-Tournament Team.
- Leading the pack for the Nikiski Bulldogs is Volleyball player Kailey Styneberg
- Styneberg had a great tournament at Grace and as always delivered a solid performance as our Libero on her way to making the all tournament team and leading us to winning the gold bracket.
- Selected for the Soldotna Stars is wrestler Angelina Chavarria
- Chavarria took home an individual 1st place in a very competitive weight class at the Houston Altercation, and helped her team win the team title.
- Representing the Kenai Kardinals is Volleyball player Emma Beck
