Each week throughout the high school sports 2024-25 competitive seasons, KSRM/ESPN selects a Peninsula Sports Athlete of the Week from each of the central peninsula’s three public high schools.

For the week of September 17th:

  • Kenai Kardinals Athlete of the Week is football player Bobby Hayes.
    • Bobby carried the ball 17 times for 104 yards and 2 touchdowns Saturday against the Houston Hawks.
  • Nikiski Bulldogs Athlete of the Week is football player Oliver Parrish.
    • Oliver carried the football 21 times for 120 yards against Seward on Friday; he also caught 3 passes for 37 yards and a touchdown.
  • Soldotna Stars Athlete of the Week is volleyball player Cassidy Kruse.
    • Cassidy had a career-high 14 kills and 6 blocks and was a big difference maker in SoHi’s matchup against Palmer over the weekend.
