The deadline for the 2016 Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend application period is this Thursday at 11:59 pm.

Race: “If you’re in the middle of the application and the clock strikes midnight the application will close down. Last year, unfortunately, we had about 104 individuals that were in the middle of filing at midnight that ended up getting booted out of the application so don’t wait to be that person.”
The size of this year’s dividend will be announced in September. Right now any action by the legislature to change the way the dividend is calculated is pending. As of now the five year average remains in place.
Over 500,000 Alaskans have applied for their PFD already.
Distribution of the 2016 dividend is scheduled to begin October 6.
