The Peninsula Oilers and Anchorage Glacier Pilots battled to the final out with the Pilots downing the Oilers 1-0 on a solo home run in the sixth inning.

Starting pitchers dictated play in the first five innings; both the Peninsula Oilers and Glacier Pilots holding each other scoreless through five innings.
The Oilers had the first opportunity to score with a lead-off triple by Trey Becker to open the Oilers half of the first inning. Becker was thrown out at the plate attempting to score on a ground ball to third. The Oilers only managed three hits for the game. The Pilots only run came on the first pitch of the sixth inning with a solo home run by Caden Kendle. The Pilots were held to five hits by three Oilers pitchers. Oilers starter Conner Kershaw takes the loss allowing one run and three hits.
The Oilers and Pilots face off again on Friday against the Pilots in game three of the five game series. Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
