Nearly one year after the body of 61 year old Mark Matthews was found on the Poopdeck Trail in Homer, the murder remains under investigation.
Lieutenant William Hutt with the Homer Police Department…
Hutt: “It’s still under investigation, there’s been some developments and I can’t talk about it.”
He also declined to specify the cause of death, which was ruled suspicious shortly after the body was found.
Matthews’ body was found on July 28, 2013 by two people walking on the trail and Matthews was pronounced dead at the scene.
