The American Legion Post 20 Twins opened their home schedule with a pair of doubleheaders, hosting Dimond on Saturday and East on Sunday at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.
Each doubleheader featured a league contest followed by a non-league game.
Dimond 8 – Twins 1 League
The Post 20 Twins managed only a single, seventh-inning run against Dimond in the league contest on Saturday. Dimond collected eight runs on nine hits: the Twins posted one run on two hits.
Dimond 22 – Twins 1 Non-League
Twins 8 – East 7 League
The Twins rallied from a 6-0, second-inning deficit, scoring two runs in the third, two runs in the fourth and four runs in the sixth inning enroute to an 8-7 league victory over East Anchorage on Sunday. Both teams recorded six hits; Twins’ pitchers held East to one run in the final five innings. Sam Berry lead the Twins with four RBI.
