Post 20 Twins Split League Games In Valley

The Post 20 Twins American Legion baseball team traveled to the Valley and recorded a split of AA league games with a loss to Wasilla and a victory over Palmer.

 

Wasilla 2 – Post 20 1

The Twins gave Wasilla all they could handle defensively on Saturday before falling 2-1 to the undefeated Road Warriors 2-1.  The Twins held the early lead with a first-inning run. Wasilla tied the game in the second inning and took the lead with a late-inning, unearned run to secure the 2-1 Warrior win.  Logan Smith, on the mound for the Twins, recorded five innings, allowed one run and struck-out six.

The Twins won the non-league contest 8-3.

Wasilla improves to 6-0 in the National Division and 8-1 overall.  The Twins stand at 2-2 (with Sunday win) in the American Division and 3-4 overall.

 

Post 20 4 – Palmer 2

The Twins earned a American Division victory over Palmer 4-2 on Sunday which draws the Twins to a 2-2 league record (Palmer stands at 3-3 in league play).

Post 20 led 3-1 after three innings and recorded five hits including a two-hit day for Harrison Metz.

 

Twins Home Schedule

The Twins return to Coral Seymour Memorial Park for a weekend series including a doubleheader on Saturday against Service and a doubleheader on Sunday vs Dimond.
