The Post 20 Twins American Legion baseball team improved to 5-2 in AA league play defeating Kodiak 11-0 on Thursday in Kodiak on the strength of a Logan Smith two-hit, shutout on the mound for the Twins.
In the conference contest (the Twins also won the non-conference game 18-6), Smith tossed seven innings, struck out 10 and allowed only two hits. Thursday’s performance followed a combined no-hitter thrown by Logan and Harrison Metz against Dimond last Sunday. The Twins offense unleashed 14 hits and was powered by a five-run, second inning and a four-run final inning in the seventh.
The Twins continue in Kodiak on Friday with a conference game scheduled for 3 p.m. to be followed by a seven inning non-conference contest.
