Post 20 Twins Take Three Conference Road Games To Remain In Hunt For State Berth

With only 11 days remaining until the start of the 2019 Alaska Legion Baseball State Tournament and with only four league games remaining on the schedule, the Post 20 Twins are still in the hunt for one of eight spots in the state legion baseball tournament schedule to begin July 26th at Mulcahy Park.

 

The Twins improved their overall standing with three, league victories in the next to last weekend of the regular season; the Twins defeated North Pole twice and Dimond to improve to 9-3 and 39 points in the American Division, currently fourth in the American Division standings.

 

Conference Game Results:

Twins 6 – North Pole 4

Twins 20 – North Pole 2

Twins 7 – Dimond 4

Twins 6 – Service 7  (Non-League)

 

Alaska Legion State Tournament Information

68th Alaska State Legion Baseball Tournament

July 26-30 @ Mulcahy Park in Anchorage

Eight positions are available into the 2019 Alaska Legion State Baseball Tournament with the top three in each division (American and National) automatically qualifying along with the two remaining teams with the most points.

Post 20 currently stands fourth in the American Division and eighth in the overall point standings.

The Twins remaining schedule includes an upcoming game against Palmer on July 16th and a three, game series with Service, Ketchikan and South running July 19 through 21.  The Twins hold an advantage having four remaining games which are worth 4 points for a win, 2 for a tie and 1 point for a loss.
