10:30 pm Update:
Around 10 pm the power was restored to the Homer Electric Association customers in the Soldotna area affected by the outage.
Crews determined the cause was a problem with an electrical connection in a junction box that had to do with the Binkley Street and Redoubt area.

HEA crews are responding to a power outage in the Soldotna area this evening. The outage started at approximately 6 pm and is affecting 312 HEA members in the area around Binkley Street and Redoubt Ave.
